The State of Florida will endeavor to provide you with electronic mail ("e-mail") information as to incidents or events deemed eligible for such notification (the "Service"). The goal of the Service is solely to provide you with enough information to allow you, through your own efforts, to be more alert regarding matters of interest to you affecting your community. You agree to use the information for the intended purpose of allowing you to increase the precautionary steps taken by you and your family only and not to redistribute the information for any illegal purpose.

Except as expressly authorized by The State of Florida, you agree not to sell, license, modify, distribute, copy, reproduce, transmit, publicly display, publish, adapt, edit or create derivative works from the material or content of the Service. Notwithstanding the above, you may print or download the materials or content of the Service for personal, non-commercial use, provided you keep intact all copyright and other proprietary notices. Systematic retrieval of data or other content from the Service to create or compile, directly or indirectly, a collection, compilation, database or directory without written permission from The State of Florida is prohibited.

Address information is based on available Geographic Information Systems (GIS) data and represents approximate placements. Depending on the address, placement within a map can be modified to the middle of the street or range of addresses on a street. In addition information provided is directly related to efforts by State and local law enforcement in tracking offenders and is subject to change at any time based on false information provided by offenders that is discovered by law enforcement officials. These efforts may not uncover all offenders who have provided false information or are otherwise non compliant with Florida laws from time to time.

By registering for e-mail alerts from The State of Florida, you are consenting to the receipt of e-mail or other forms of communication from The State of Florida. You may opt-out of future communications by notifying us by e-mail of your desire to do so. We reserve the right, however, to e-mail you or otherwise inform you of important information relating to your account with us, including any regulatory information. You may not opt-out of receiving information from The State of Florida which is essential for maintaining or updating customers’ accounts or system information. The State of Florida agrees to endeavor to send all notices regarding this service to the e-mail address provided by you with this Agreement. If such address becomes inaccessible, you must provide a new e-mail address to The State of Florida in order to continue receiving service. Notifications will not be mailed or otherwise delivered in the event of an inoperative e-mail address. The State of Florida takes no responsibility to contact you regarding defects in your e-mail.
